Wondering through the wonders of TechNet documentation about MOSS 2007 (Part 1)

Sometime i'm wondering through the wonders of the TechNet website of Microsoft. It contains a lot of usefull and easy to grab information regarding anything. Just by looking at the documentation for MOSS 2007, its incredible. Still we need others with their blogs to compensate for the holes and stuff what is not described :)

Still i think that there are some usefull links to pieces of interesting stuff and white pages about MOSS 2007. So i have created a list with this:

Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007
The starting point for everything about MOSS 2007 in TechNet.

White paper: Information architecture in Office SharePoint Server
This white paper describes ways of how to organize structure by using site collections, sites, pages and content databases. It also contains information about usability, branding, metadata (Content Types), security and roles. Part of that it contains a lot of usefull links to other parts of the TechNet environment.

White paper: Plan for building multilingual solutions
This white paper provides information and guidelines for using Microsoft® Office SharePoint® Server 2007 in scenarios where content is managed across different languages. It details most of the functionality provided by Office SharePoint Server 2007 and suggests how to use it to manage multilingual scenarios

Deploy in a simple server farm (Office SharePoint Server)
This article discusses how to do a clean installation of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 in a server farm environment

Create and configure Shared Services Providers
Some articles describing how to configure Shared Service Providers for Personalization, Business Intelligence Features, Excel Services, InfoPath Forms Services and Office Project Server

What is content deployment and how to
Content deployment copies content from a source Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 site collection to a destination site collection. The entire source site collection can be copied, or a subset of sites can be copied. In either case, content deployment is incremental by default, deploying only changed pages and related assets (such as images). A Quick Deploy feature supports deployment of a single page by authors

Plan for multilingual sites
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 has several features that enable you to support users in different regions or users who speak different languages. Two important parts: Determine your multilangual needs and plan for multilingual site deployment.

There is a lot more so for the moment i have called this Part 1. So keep an eye on my blog. :)

Oktober 2008 i'm working for a new company called Sparked. The new world of work causes organizations to re-think about their ways of communication and interaction with their customers.

Increasing usage of web technology and the new generation workers brings changes into these organizations.

Sparked helps these organizations to accelerate adoption of this technology platform to effectively use it around content management, content exposure and collaboration.
